New sump, should I include a plenum?

HI,

I am setting up a sump for my 55 gal. I have a 20L aquarium and I am currently waiting for a Amiracle overlow and mag 7 to arrive.

What should I include in my sump. I have heard of some people including a plenum between the bottom of the sump and the dsb, would you suggest I do this or just a dsb?

What setups are there for sumps?

Thanks for the help.

I agree, the only thing I would put in the sump is some live rock for extra filtration if you so desire.

You can plumb a refugium into it, but that's a much bigger project and over my head.

Some LFS give away or sell for cheap the Live Rock Chips that break off and they don't sell. I would add as much as I could to a rufugium.
You are useing a 20L? is so split ihal and use a refugium on one half and a sump on the other.

2cents worth

you will get mixed reviews on this subject.
If you are interested in plumbing in a Refuge later give me a holler and I will guide you through it.

I am currently getting rid of my DSB and Refuge, so I will stay out of this subject.
