Re: I am buying 500 lbs of LR

Nice deal on the rock. Lightless should be fine if nothing is in there. As for the coralline, the spores are there. It should bounce back in no time. Can't wait to see the pics. Are you doing a chronicle? I have been out for a while and haven't been paying attn. Good on the male female mix, one of the first things to consider.

Re: I am buying 500 lbs of LR

If you're planning on no light or low light you need to separate the males from the females. If you don't, there'll be one massive orgy & you'll end up with babies all over the place

Re: I am buying 500 lbs of LR

Steph--I know we are going to be VERY busy, plus my sisters wedding is in June. I'm MOH so it's going to be hectic, I am going to be home (Michigan) most of June, sucks!

Gary--I think I am going to get two different tubs, they NEED to be seperated, next thing I know I'll have 1500 pounds, they reproduce like darn bunnies.

Sarah--The babies are cute and all, but I don't think I can handle of the hell makers! There will be a lot of them!

Jason--I will find the link of the babie making rock to catch you up!

Here are some tips on cutting back to keep your bills in the same range as before.

Put a timer in the bathroom, the family is now only aloud to take 5 minute showers, baths are out of the question.

Tv time is cut to 1 hour a night, we have to make up for all of the lights/pumps/heaters/chillers/etc. running

No more lights, duct tape all light switches in the off position. If someone needs light, they can sit by the tank.

Sorry bunny, I sacrificed you to help others save money!

I think they are refering to rubbermaid STOCK tanks,... not the rubbermaid totes you get at walmart..

The stock tanks are what you need to use, John.

Re: I am buying 500 lbs of LR

I've been putting my babies in my Aquafuge. Good place for them to grow out for a bit before transferring them to the DT. Just put about 7 or 8 in there the other day.

Re: I am buying 500 lbs of LR

Good method Gary, I should be taking them out of the DT to. I think I am getting some major inbreeds...I have to keep seperating them, then an hour later they are next to each other again ughhh.

Mine popped out a couple of females a week or so ago. You can see them just to the right of the red shrooms. I cannot get rid of them until they are weened (just 5 more weeks)!
