yeah i have a rainbow monti and superman and ling sy, just not colored up yet, ill get some pics of the not colored up ones tomorrow. I also have a nuclear green paly.

Corals from Tyree, & others alike are IMO a bunch of hobbiest going around asking reefers for corals & putting their names to it & them sell it for a large profit. To me it is BS because you have it in your tank it looks great & they profit fom your hard work not thier own.

I have a tyree long green polyp toadstool that is very pretty. I like the awesome colors of their corals.

I cannot agree totally with you Jack. There are a lot of corals that Tyree went to great lengths to find, cultivate and grow out over a long time in order for people like us to have the opportunity to have them in our tanks. Yeah, he's making money off of what he likes. So do I.
I don't want you all to think i am a kiss butt though. I am saying you have arrived because you must be doing very well with your tank to sink the kind of money Tyree corals cost to have into your tank. Not that there the best out there. I personally have not seen the reason to spend so much of my hard earned money on his corals when i can get it someplace else cheaper.

Oh, you guys can't be serious! "Tyree corals" are no different than any other corals. Steve Tyree is nothing more than a "clever" business man who somehow convinced people his very ordinary corals are worth hundreds of $ a frag. It's just absurd. Please don't buy into this guy's racket.

I have a tyree purple bonsi that is still encrusting ,a tyree rainbow monti.some tubs blues too.Also have a greg hiller aqua delight that is starting to take off.
Dont forget Greg Hiller he also has cultivated some nice stuff.
Now I just need to find an ultimate blue stag And a sweet crayola coliny after mine RTN'd on me

Most of my stuff has a name but I only buy the things that make me say WOW.I don't look for the names But it just seems to work out that way...

The good side of naming stuff is when your looking for it it makes it just that much easier to find.lol

Dont get me wrong the corals that tyree & the others sell are beautiful corals & they are very good business men. I however just think that it is wrong to ask someone for a frag of something, through it in thier frag tank for awhile & then sell it as a exclusive"insert thier name here" coral is all. Now if the were to say something like this frag is an exculsive from "insert your name here"'s tank in "your state" sold by tyree then I am ok with it

now theres two sides to this, as an importer ive had several sunsets, supermans, rainbos in they do not look anything like what tyree is selling. they will morph over time but they do not morph like tyrees. so yes i can get you the same name but they are not the same. tyree,s are several gens old so there pest free, they grow faster and adjust very easy to your system.now the ones that he puts his stamp on are le,s and if you look closer he tells who they are grown from. so you cant blame the guy for bringing you the best of the best. every thing will morph with right lighting and nutrients. here,s an example i just sent frankie a green bali slimmer ot of my system 2nd gen, you say so what well this one morphed to lime green with blue and pink not your standard bali. so the point im making is dont get mad at someone for doing that they love and making money on. and besides at least he,s not depleting the reefs. oh by the way ive got several of the tyree,s and they are not the same as everyplace else. thanks fish

I dont see any problem with tyree wanting as much as he does for his frags. If people will pay that much why not ask it. Plus I have seen some of his corals. They ARE different. Some of them are just not like anything I have ever seen.~Michael
