*fish Trap*

I have had several inquiries as to how I catch fish in my reef so I wanted to share this with everyone. With the exception to clowns that stay within inches of their host, I have used this trap to catch any and all animals in my reef. I hope you find it useful~~

Interesting Woody. I've used a similar trap in the past but yours is a little different. Did you make it yourself?
And I read about your CBB. Sorry to hear your troubles. These are beautiful fish and I've been trying to find a healthy specimen for a long time. I know you'll be sad to let her go.

No, I did not make the trap. I bought it several years ago. I can't remember where and I just looked for it online and couldn't find it (although there are similar traps available).

As far as my CBB, I need to find her a home very quickly! I left scott a voice mail and PM'd him but he hasn't responded yet. He may be out of town? She is currently in the sump (has been since yesterday) and she needs to be moved fast! If you are interested, PM me your application to recieve her

looks like it takes the fun out of screaming around the tank after the fish thouhg

Ohhh.. well the pistol shrimps were different. They refused to come out of their hiding places

so as most of you know, I had to remove/fw dip every rock to catch those creatures! I did some mumbling/cursing then

what about us with smaller tanks that don't have space on the floor for somethin like that

I have 3 chromis that i want out....

It would be easy to add acrylic mounting arms to it; then you could hang it from the top. Mine had those hooks but I took them off.

I will measure it when I get home tonight.

Hummm.... I've never needed it any larger since my two largest fish enter, turn and exit with ease.

I have removed the 'arms' that came on it. They allowed it to hang on the edge of the aquarium. I tried using it like that but the fish were too shy of it. They are not as comfortable with the trap hanging over them as they are with it sitting on the very bottom; so I removed the 'arms' and use it strickly on the sand now.

ye when i used it my damnsel wouldnt go near it until i had it firmly on the sand bed.

then it was a matter of cunning and patience...
