Miyaki

Has anyone ever heard of miyaki rocks?

A nearby LFS is ordering some, and I might be in the mood of picking some up

I just wanted to hear what others had to say about this type of rock, because I have never heard of it myself, and I wasn't able to find anything by Google-ing it.

Thank you,

Re: Miyaki

Where are they from? Anyone else tried Solomon or Pukani? I've only tried Fuji Premium, Fuji Branch, and Florida Aquaculture. For now the Florida stuff is way much better than the Fuji Premium that I'm getting.

Re: Miyaki

Thats some nice rock P2BC!
Is it WYSIWYG?
I love all the life! Dunno if all of it comes teaming with life though.

Re: Miyaki

Gina - I can't say for sure how porous it is, but it actually looks quite porous. Maybe Kase would know...

gussy - I'm not sure where they're from, and I haven't heard of those other types of rock.

Kim - All of the life is what immeadiately drew my to the rock!
WYSIWYG?
And, from what I hear, it comes like those in the pictures, but it's uncured. It's hard to say what would stay because it depends on how you cure it.

Wow. That is one long acronym. lol

Then yes, more or less, it is. The problem is that when most (if not all) LR is shipped into Canada, they have to scrub it down due to some laws...So hopefully, it will look something like that.

I think I might drop by the store and take a look at it when they get some in...
