Typically, how much LR shoudl one aim for in a good reef tank ?

How many pounds per gal of water ?

Typically 1.5lbs per gallon.

1.0 to 1.5 lbs per gallon of water.

it also depends on the type of rock,,,preferably you want lighter more porous rock.

simply put,,,,enough to make it look like you want it to look,,,universal weight and measure....LOL

In metric values, it works out to around 1.5 - 2kg for every 10L. You can keep to the low end for light porous rocks and the high end for aquacultured/dense rocks. However like Wit said, if you have a little less or a little more then don't fret as these are just basic guildlines.
