Is this enough rock.

On the weekend I bought all new rock for the new setup. This stuff is very very light and holey for a better word. I put it in the tank to make sure I had enough. It actually takes up the same amount of space my old Fiji took up.
I hope to aquascape it alot bet when I have water in the tank.
78 lbs of this replaces 125 lbs of Fiji.

Think i need more or not

Personally, I vote it looks fine!
Amazing that it takes up the same amount as your old rock!

Re: Is this enough rock.

The old rock was tight together so no space between the rock.I think that was a big part of the problem last time.

Re: Is this enough rock.

Min do you have a fish list ? Are you going to have a remote DSB ?

If it's going to be a Berlin filtration system then I would increase the amount of LR. What skimmer are you going to use ?

Re: Is this enough rock.

No remote sand bed but maybe in the future. Skimmer is a Turboflotor Classic with Ocean runner pump. How much more rock. No fish list yet that is later down the road.

Re: Is this enough rock.

Miniatus what size is the tank a 90 gal. ?

If it is and your going Berlin type setup then I would definitely go with 125 lbs. of very porous LR like you already have, of course this is depending on how much livestock your planning to go with, if it's going to be a heavy bio-load you may need more.

Im picking up another 50 lbs this Friday. I dont plan on a heavy Bioload fish wise. But its better to be safe than sorry.

Re: Is this enough rock.

You're going to have to show us what it looks like with more rock. It sounds like you have some more rockscaping to do. Personally I wouldn't add more rock till you decide what kind of rockscaping you're going to stick with. But it looks good so far.
