Reefs and spouses~

having a reef and a relationship has its funny moments.

~~when playing with the tank, and being spoken to, i dont always listen,,and just to be left alone i utter "uh huh"....well one day she was in a mood due to me spending part of the afternoon and most of the evening tinkering and tweaking the tank. she says to me,,,"i think you love that damn tank more than me!" i mumble "uh huh". she laughed out loud and said "im to good to you,,i let you fondle your Mistress in our house,,,with me watching~~

lets here em folks~~

Re: Reefs and spouses~

I wish I had a funny story to tell.
We both enjoy the tank equally. Although, we have different aspects that we like.
He loves plumbing and electric, I like aquascaping and stocking!

Now, if you want to talk about the computer, that's a different story!! LOL

My wife sometimes complains about how much money this little hobby costs but- she is more dangerous than me in one of our local salt water shops!

Re: Reefs and spouses~

My wife is definitely not hooked like I am and the first question I usually get is "how much did that cost". Also it's amazing how when I add something new she notices it immediatly even though I try to to be sly about it and only add it when she goes to work. My 5 year old also snitches on me every time so I get the double team

My wife doesn't say anything she just looks at me and shakes her head, thats much worse. Now I'm really screwed cuz I'm supposed to translate the head shake.

Re: Reefs and spouses~

Well, I don't have a spouse, just a BF, so he is not allowed to complain about cost, but his invariable response to all my stuff is 'It's a fish, it's ugly'. He says he doesn't get why people keep fish.

Re: Reefs and spouses~

Well it was bad enough when it was JUST a hobby, now that I have Coral Dynamics it has gotten much worse! Oh she is behind me 100% but now instead of (playfully) moaning about how much time I spend with the tank, it has grown to now I am never home! To top it off she decided she needed a "friend" to talk to while I am gone...and, wel you guessed it...here is the friend!

She is a cute little Shiih-Tzu - Pikanese (spelling on both counts) mix. I can't figure out if she is a ****zeneese or a peekachu...oh well here she is, I present to you Miss Daisy...all 3lbs of her.

Re: Reefs and spouses~

My wife hates when i spill water everywhere, go figure. She is pretty cool with me spending all my allowance on a glass bowl, she likes it. She even brought me home a green mushroom one day, she did her research and found out they are hardy, whatta gal!

I might as well say it before Doni does, my wife also fills the tank for me while i lounge around
