Well. Its gonna be a long haul for those close to the coast. Im about 30 mins from the center of the devastation on the jersey shore. From what im able to find out it sounds like my inlaws beach house probably has or had 5 ft of water in it. The safest place to be right now is my tank. It has power and a stable temp. Lol

I would be interest to hear any reports of anyone using an inverter and how that is working, I bought one last year as part of my backup plan (I really want a generator, but I have not had power down over a few hours in the last 10 year - as we have been lucky where I live and I have just not invested in one yet)

Well the problem now is getting gas for the generator. I had to drive 45 mins this am to fill up. Im running it and hour then off for 2 or 3. My fish are like wtf.
