to feed or not feed (target) Acans

that is the question.....
I have had several Acans ( echin. and lords) for about 6 months or so and am wondering if they really need target feeding to grow/reproduce. I have 3 frags of lords and 3 frags of echinata. I just wanted some of the others experiences. For the first 4+ months I owned them, I fed them 2-3 times a week with brine and mysis and noticed just average polyp expansion and no "babies". In last 5 weeks or so I have not target fed them and feed the tank minimally anyways. I have noticed the lords seem to be expanded much fuller and 1 new baby. I know this could just be that they were acclimating before and that everybody's tanks are different, but I just wanted to cuss and discuss this with others.....
Any experiences/opinions?
Scott

Maybe your water is a little cleaner after not target feeding, and maybe they are stretching out for more light and food - hard to say though. Could be gnomes feeding your corals while you sleep.

Re: to feed or not feed (target) Acans

I have seen improved results by feeding at night with the lights out
