New 60 gal glass tank

I got rid of my 75 gal acrylic FOWLR tank, and now starting up this 60 gal glass reef tank.

I am open to suggestions in helping me with this new stup.

Currently I have a Remora Pro skimmer, overflow to a wet dry filter (I am going to put live rock in it), and a 36" 192 watts Coralife light. I want to add 2 inches of substrate, not sure of what yet.

I am going to replace the 36" light with a 48" 260 watt light, but have several questions on lighting. I see that T5 VHO lights are lower wattage but claim to be brighter, my budget for lights is set at $250, ideas ?

In regards to the sand, I have no clue, I definitely need some help on this, so let me know what you think.

I will attach 2 pics I just took:

Nice tank Luis. I personally haven't used T5's but everyone seems to have good things to say about them. Any increase in lighting is a good thing, I would think. What types of corals are you planning on? Keep us posted.
