What this on LR?

I've noticed this on my live rock. Anyone know what it could be? If it's bad, how do I get rid of it?

It's a sponge. I am not sure what kind. I am sure someone else will chime in with the name. Harmless. They should, if I remember correctly, really be pink but have been bleached because of the lights in the tank and that is why they are grey now.

Check out Chondrilla (Chicken Liver Sponge) or Clathrina (Leather Latticework Sponge)
and see if any of these look like what you have.

They also make a good "glue" to hold rockwork in place.

Oi!

Looks like a sponge to me too, you should be happy, if you have sponges growing on your rock, then your tanks is also happy.

Cheers!

Yup, it can also come in a variety of colors. I had some blue sponge and black sponge in the past. Cool stuff.
