Talking Zero Nitrates!

It's a great day! Not only did I discover that the new site's up and running, I also did my weekly test for nitrate in my nano, and I've reached my target number... ZERO!!! Anyone who's worked at this from 15 ppm or higher knows that it can be a challenge, and is probably entitled to bragging rights!

Congrates Flipper,

0 is something I am still thriving for on my 75. I still have enough traces to change the salifert test kit colors, but just barely.

It is quite an achievment, that is unless your 7 gal nano has plastic fish in it.

Thanks, Icebox. Nope, no plastic fish!

Now I have to work on my 55. I think that's a hopeless cause (on 0 nitrates, that is!).

Congrats on the zero trates! Throwin' you some imaginary karma

Man, I wish my DSB effect would kick in, I don't want to put corals in my tank with my trates at 15-20, unless that is ok

Thanks, everyone! With the nano, everything seems easy. I guess when 2 gallons is a huge water change things are a bit different!

Once my RO unit is set up at home (tg ) I can try to tackle the big tank.
