| Bryozoan | VHO's I have the Icecap 660 balast and the 4-110watt VHO's, 2 10k daylight bulbs, and 2 10k actinics. Is there a way I could have the actinics turn on in the morning, and then have the daylights turn on after them?

| Totally stoked dude ![]() | you can get a cheap ARO vho ballast for about $40 and have that push your actinics if you really want to have the dusk to dawn affect. Just keep em on seperate timers. That's about the only way I know of.

| Neon dottyback | You can not turn on individual bulbs with a single ballast. However, if you are looking for a dawn / dusk cycle, Champion Lighting & Supply does sell Solar Dimmers by Blue Line for dimming Ice Cap ballasts. See http://www.championlighting.com/e/en...ers/solar.html HOWEVER, read the page very carefully. Only some bulb combinations will work AND the ballast may need to be modified. ALSO, some people have reported problems with using Solar Dimmers and Ice Cap Ballasts. See the Ice Cap sponcer forum on "another reef forum" at http://reefcentral.com/forums/forumd...php?forumid=32 |
