Lightbulb lighting experiment

i havent really been satisfied with my 330 wats of pc lighting so i am trying something new this week i just got a canopy with 8 no flourescent 48 inch 40 watt bulbs in it so i =m swapping out the pc for the no ill get pics and let you all know it goes im using 1 20k 3 actintic and 4 10k i think that will give a good looking effect.

im planning on having it on the tank sometime in the middle of next week

ill post the pics when i get them on and ill let you all know how it works out

btw this is going on the 90 gallon reef tank

im not actually using that setup but i used it on a friends tank he had a 220 watt pc light and we added the no from lowes. it does not come with bulbs i got him a actintic and a 10k looked great and much brighter

i am using a diy setup with 8 no bulbs

ps the one from lowes is really pretty nice
just remember no bulbs are only good for about 10 months then they start to lose there color spectrum

his tank is a 75 gallon also i will try to get some pics with the no on and off but i dont get over his way much so it may be a week or so
