| Ricordea | I think I have Algae figured out. I keep on having these Algae blooms and such all the time. No matter what kind of cleaning and treating I do, there comes the Algae. All my readings are right on. All the water changes are done on time. Everything is happy (even the algae). Now this has been going on for about 2 months now and it has been a everlasting battle. Algae comes around, Algae goes away. Algae comes around, Algae goes away. And still all my readings are right on, by my test kits , Lfs's test kits and my friends test kits. So this morning I was able to go into work a little later than sunrise and I was able to greet my babies with a goodmorning welcome and there it was...... "The dreaded Algae"! So as I sat there not understanding why this happened for the 1,000,000th time (haha) I caught something in the corner of my eye.. Something we greatly overlook and take for granted. THE SUN!!!!! Shining as bright as it ever could. You see, we took down this big gigantic Oak Tree right outside our window 2 months ago. Funny how the Algae problem started then. Before we never had to worry about the Sun coming in because we had all the shade in that window. Just remember when all else fails and you just can't figure out why this Algae only happens to me ( And I know everyone out here thinks that) Look to the simplest answer and look out your window.... |
