Re: 48" of Maddness Club

I'M IN!!! (barely)

Everyone's tanks are so beautiful. I know this 55 will lead me to bigger and better things.

Frankie, WOW! Am I crazy, or is one of your clowns IN the clam!? Ballsy little bugger!

Just starting my 55g 48" baby!!
Pay no attention to the sickly looking condy. He was transferred from my 24g Nano, and then I decided to re-scape. He wasn't happy at first. Still need to get more rock, and still trying to decide on TBS or not. I must say, this tank is SO HARD to scape!

Before re-scaping

Live Rock Rubble will do the SAME thing as Bio-Balls and is NOT a suitable replacement for BIO-BALLS in a Reef System! It's ALL gotta go!!

Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change.
Allen's home-made formula...currentNO3-((%WC*.01)currentNO3)=finalNO3 (thanks Luukosian)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!!

What do you mean, Al? My LFS told me their premium $14.99/lb LR had rare Money Tree Gorgonians from the Red Sea growing in it. I'm just to wait until my tank is fully stocked, and they said they would start sprouting everywhere.

Re: 48" of Maddness Club

No really Al. They said as long as I keep buying from them ONLY (their water has traces of gold bouillon that helps the MTG grow) then I'm good.

Funny Jfourn, I was recently in your same predicament.

I chose the tank.

Re: 48" of Maddness Club

jfourn, I think you made the right decision. There will be better laptop in a month anyways!

I'm jelous of everyone's tanks! I've got 66" combined (42" on the 54 Corner and 24" on the 25), does that count?

Re: 48" of Maddness Club

Great tanks everyone! I have always been a sucker for the 75's. The foot print and height always attracted me.

Jess yes, the clowns host the T.Gigas. I was not going to put them back in the tank because of this but my daughter got upset when I told her I was thinking of trading them. So I ended up keeping them. They have been hosting the clam since I purchased it a year or so ago. Soon it will outgrow the tank and I will need to upgrade out of this club.

OR you can stay in this club and upgrade so you can be in two clubs!

Re: 48" of Maddness Club

Does anyone use a mp20 in a 48" long tank? Or have any input on using it in a 33 long
