| Star Polyps | Buckets I have been using the same 5 buckets and 20 gallon rubbermaid container for the last year or so to do water changes, make RO/DI water and as a top off container. Just wondering if anyone recommends changing/replacing these periodically? I keep them clean and I am not having any problems with my tank right now, just curious. Also, is it okay to use the old 5-gallon buckets salt comes in for some of these chores as long as I rinse them out?? Thanks. |

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: Buckets I would clean them periodically with a vinegar and water solution then rinse and dry them thoroughly. I use my old salt buckets for many things around the aquarium.
