| Midas Blenny | New Creatures in my tank O.K. So I am currently treating my tank for ick, Its has been running fallow for 7 weeks now, and I have a huge copepod infestation in the tank now, but I know thats not a bad thing... But I have noticed little Millipede looking things hanging on the live rock. They are very tiny, but my question is, are they a bad thing. These are things Ive never noticed before, (Probably cuz the fish ate any creatures they saw). Or should I be concearned. I will try to post pics later... |

| Scopas Tang | Re: New Creatures in my tank i was under the impression that it was fire worms that stung, and bristle worms that were the beneficial detrius eaters. how small are we talking when you say very tiny? 3mm in length? in which case it is probably an amphipod of sorts. also... do the tiny creatures have color?

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: New Creatures in my tank Fire worms are a type of bristle worm which has a toxin that will burn you badly. Standard bristle worms will release bristles into your hand etc which are an annoyance and can be painfuly but not nearly as bad as the fire worm.
