| Bryozoan | Starting a 55 So next month I'm moving, and will be taking down the short lived 29g. To make way for the new 55. I was thinking about making a sump out of a 20long. With my Quietone 2200 as a return. was considering putting in 2 overflows from Glass-Holes.com one 700gph to the sump and a second nano to a fuge. Does anyone have any experience with them? Also I am looking for a new skimmer, my Super Skimmer 65 is not up to the task. I was thinking Vertex IN-100. I think it will fit in the sump but I don't know how deep it needs to be. I currently have 2 65w pc lights. Do you think this will be ok for a tank of mainly softies? and i know how much everyone likes pics, so here's some of the current setup [IMG] [/IMG][IMG] [/IMG]and the current sump [IMG] [/IMG]The pf is getting ready to seed the new tank Brian

| Razorback ![]() | Re: Starting a 55 You'll need to plumb the fuge into the sump and have a single return pump. If you don't, you'll end up flooding. If you think it through you'll see what I mean. You might want to get one of the Glass Holes 1500 gph overflow boxes, which has bulkhead fittings if I remember right The Vertex IN-100 works great in 8-9 inches of water. I have have one and have run in an an 8" sump and a 9" sump, just a different adjustment on the standpipe. Wouldn't go below 8 IMO
