| Elegance coral | Re: filter A power head and stringent water changes are all you need for that size tank... With 22lbs of rock in there does it even have any water? The slightest drop in the water level will drasticly change the salinity with that much rock. 22lbs of rock could be displacing as much as 5gl of water. So really you only have approx. 7gl in there.

| Elegance coral | Re: filter You really only need one pound of rock per gallon. I would scape the rock how ever you want it (break it, cut it, do whatever you want with it) and put the rest in your other tank if you have one or sell off you you dont use. I dont think you will want to go the route of a sump in that tank. Once you install an overflow and your power heads the tank will get cluttered quick. I would just put a couple of korlia nanos in and hide the heater behind the rockwork (dont use a glass heater incase a rock falls on it and shatters it). Really it is up to you on what you want to do as far as a sump or not.

| Scopas Tang | Re: filter Everyone has their own rules to how much rock you should get get and which kind is best. Just like some people like pepsi and some like coke. I have a 14 gal nano, i have an over flow that goes to a turf scrubber and it doesn't take up that much room.

| Scopas Tang | Re: filter all fish have diff personalities, like person to person. My maroon clown is very very social... i can actually pet him if you decide to get one , get them while they are small and only get 1 if you get two one will become male and the other female and they will grow to big but if you keep only one it will stay small and manageable.
