| Tridacna maxima ![]() | Re: ID new critter? They are usually very specialized eaters, so if you see one coral that starts to look bad, this could be your culprit. Then again, it may be harmless (this does resemble ones that are known to be coral eaters).

| Smile Maker | Re: ID new critter? The best thing to do when you are unaware of the danger of a HH, is to remove the organism immediately to a bowl, with contrasting color, of tank water and take the picture of it in the bowl. Then post. Great pictures though! ![]() |

| Torch coral | Re: ID new critter? Thanks Jess I wish I could have gotto this guy out of the tank cause it went somewhere really fast I wonder if the fish ate it? cause I cant see it moving that fast and the fish were eyeballing it like it was lunch while I was taking the pix hmmm ![]()

| Tridacna maxima ![]() | Re: ID new critter? Very unlikely that the fish would eat it. Many are toxic and fish will avoid them. They are however, very good at camouflage.
