| Torch coral | Does Instant Ocean go bad? Does Instant Ocean mix go bad if it sits too long? The reason I ask is that I was going to purchase the 200g mix from my LFS. I didn't because the container looked like it had been there forever. Since I didn't know if IO had a shelf life, I didn't buy it. Please let me know. Thanks

| Smilie Bartender ![]() | I'm not sure, but I can tell you humidity is very bad for it. If it's clumped together, I wouldn't buy it.

| Fire Coral | I just opened a bucket that I have had for at least 6 months, and after doing a water change, there seems to be no side effects. As long as the container is sealed, you should be alright.
