| Limpet | Suggestions for live stock Little update on what I have currently. 2 false percula clowns, Royal Gramma and 2 peppermint shrimp. Various snails, and reef hermits. I would love to have a flame angel, but at 60 a piece I am going to wait awhile. Granted I am still going to wait awhile before adding more fish, just trying to get some ideas. Oh and just live rock with feather dusters, no other corals. Don't really plan on adding any coral except maybe a anemone, that too is awhile down the road. Trying to think of some fish that are more peaceful and that dont get overly big. This is a 55 so anything large is out of the question. |

| Smilie Bartender ![]() | Green chromis are great fish- they'll school sometimes, they're very active, fairly pretty, and very peaceful. Oh yeah- and cheap! The best part about them is they're good "dither fish"- they are constantly swimming around, which tells the more shy fish (like the gramma) the coast is clear- so they'll be swimming around more as well! | Limpet | Went reading on liveaquaira.com seems that my timidness is misplaced. Humm looks like I may pick up some green chromis this next week or so. And if they help the gramma come out from his cave more often they will be well worth it. He is such a scaredy cat. So how many should I add at once? 2,3,4 I hate to add too many at once. I doubt I will kill the bioload. Everything had been going pretty good since I changed over to RO/DI. Then again I know how fast it can go bad. |

| Reef Shark ![]() | Green chromis, (chromis viridis) is one of the true community fishes in the marine side of the hobby. Nice color, school well, and not aggressive, UNLIKE most other damsels! I have 7 of them in my 90 gallon. There are a few other damsels that make good tank mates, like the Talbot's damsel (Chrysiptera talboti) which is another fairly non-aggressive damsel. $60.00 is pretty high for a flame angel, I'd keep looking. I think the worst price I've seen lately was the mid $40.'s Never done any business with them, but SaltwaterFish.com has a pretty good reputation, and offers free shipping for over $75.00 Right now, flame angels are $29.99 and green chromis are $5.99 (ouch!) and LiveAquaria has the flames for $38.99 and the chromis at $3.99. Many other on-line retailers with shipping specials too.

| Limpet | Thank you BoomerD!!! I picked up some Green Chromis, they are very cool fish. I have never really given them a second look at the fish store, but when I got them home under the PC's, they looked spectacular. I put three in the tank, they get along with everyone else. And brought the Gramma out in all his glory. As far as the flame angel, they get along ok with false clowns, grammas and the chromis? Thank you again, Rusty |
