| Cabbage Leather | Introducing the giant mushroom Here is a pic of my one tank with the mushrooms in my first saltwater. The largest is the size of a dinner plate. I got these as 3 on a rock. The largest when I bought them was the size of a pill bottle top. There are now a total of 5 of them (1 is in hiding). Flo and Mo (clowns) seem to love these and have been hosting them for over a month now. ![]() |

__________________ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Live Rock Rubble will do the SAME thing as Bio-Balls and is NOT a suitable replacement for BIO-BALLS in a Reef System! It's ALL gotta go!! Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change. Allen's home-made formula...currentNO3-((%WC*.01)currentNO3)=finalNO3 (thanks Luukosian) This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%. Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!! | Cabbage Leather | Re: Introducing the giant mushroom They shrink into a 2 inch ball during lights out. It is surprising how small they can get! I like to watch them open in the morning when I turn on the lights. They look like a small balloon I was worried about the smallest one because the others were hogging the space, but it seems to have found a way to push his way up. I will probably have to move that one to its own space soon. |
