sick frogspawn

I have a frogspawn that does not look too good. Over the past few days he has not opened fully and his "mouths" are open wide. Sometimes, white thin spagetti like strings are secreted. I have another who doesn't seem to have any problem at all. Nothing has changed as far as water parameters go.

What might be wrong????

Re: sick frogspawn

Maybe something attacked it? Or like he said, could be flow damaging it.

Re: sick frogspawn

The flow is pretty moderate and it hasn't changed much since when he used to be healthy.
I don't feed my corals until about 10 minutes ago. I have another frogspawn that I have had for close to a year and I have never fed him and he has always been great. But I was reading and thought maybe it was a lack of food so I tried to feed him with an eye dropper and some mysis. It didn't really work.. the shrimp would just float away.

Re: sick frogspawn

Feeding euphies generally isn't really needed, but they are planktonic feeders. I experimented with marine snow for a little while but saw no benefit. If you see any of the heads start to slime up, you may need to take immediate action. If that happens, post a picture immediately to assess whether you have the dreaded brown jelly.

Re: sick frogspawn

accually, feeding them seems to greatly increase their growth size. Mine multiplied from 2 heads to 4, I feed the heads every 2 weeks almost with shrimp.

Re: sick frogspawn

They will poop strings out their mouths. Could this be what is happening?

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Well I suppose we all have our own experiences, but my euphies growth has been phenomenal as well w/o feeding.
