My plan

Well I am picking up my 75 on Saturday. I plan to have it drilled near the bottom center of the back. My plan then is to cover it with a piece or 8" pvc pipe cut in half lengthwise. I will then build some acrylic shelves to perch LR on to grow corals the will hopefully hide the overflow and return assembly all together. I will be using 6 54 watt T5 ho lights with 10 led moon lights. circulation is to be accomplished with four koralias two #3s one #2 and one #4. I will be using a 55g sump (hopefully can get it in the bottom of the stand) with a mag 7 return pump. I will have around 120 lbs of LR and (not sure on the weight) about a 3 inch sand bed that I will just "seed" with a couple cups of live sand. Any input or other ideas welcome especially before I start my build. I will also post pics when I start. Shaun
Oh yea I will be getting, I think, an asm g-2 skimmer. bluenod:

octapus skimmers are cheaper amd very good. basically same thing. you might want to up the mag7. i know jeremy has a 9.5 i think on his 55. i guess it just depends on how hogh it will be going up

Ok major plan change. The gut I was supposed t get the tank from tommorrow called me to say that somebody suddenly called him and offered him more money so I just told him to sell it to the other guy. My wife said that I can just get new!!!! So I am now looking at a 75g pre drilled. The lighting in the "kit" will be put away, maybe I can sell it but the rest of the kit includes an octapus skimmer, mag 9 I believe, full sump canopy and stand along with all the plumbing nessary. As for the lights, what do you think will 6 54 watt T5 ho light do the job? This is going to be done right the first time so i do not want to have to "upgrade" later. Shaun

OK I will NEVER NEVER make a plan again. I was going to get the 75 setup and looked forward to getting it but then a friend made me a deal on an old 100 gallon acrylic tank. I will just wait and see what happens. Shaun
