Shrunken Shrooms

Anyone know why my mushrooms have miniaturized? They've been like that for several months now. They are the common red mushrooms.

Everything else in the tank is happy as can be including other type of mushrooms.

Any ideas?

too much flow will cause mine to shrink

For some reason various types/colors will just simply start to "wilt/vanish". I had some "Green Hairy" ones that did great for a long time then they just started wilting. All of this one type wilted and simply vanished from my tank when the browns, reds and blues did great. Just a mystery I suppose.

I've been moving them around......from shade to part shade to full blown sun.....from low flow to medium flow, to dead flow......leaving them in each spot for several weeks. funny thing is they are multiplying fast while still shrunken.....????

I have some green hairy mushrooms that are thriving......

Hmm, they are shrinking AND multiplying? How strange. I wish I knew what is going on...

Any changes in the tank? Any lighting upgrades? Our red mushrooms always seemed to shrink away from new/bright light.
