don't have it setup yet kos, only the stand is purchased.tank and equipment are waitin for me at the LFS.Gotta pick it up in a few days, but wont have anything setup for a month or two

Why did you go with the bio cube?

lol sorry ben, didn't know your name so Kos had to suffice. Well I chose the bio cube for a number of reasons
1.Fiance' likes it better
2.Aesthetically pleasing
3.Shape
4.Got a better deal overall (hard to believe I know)

I've looked at them a few times and i just believe that i would buy one... i don't like all in one things Plus the Open top look, i think, is way better that that closed up system.

One thing i was worried about was PH level with that tank... because then entire tank is closed up, it might not have good gas exchange.

these are all things I have considered as well, open tops obviously exchange gas better, but have a chance of fish jumping, or things fallling in. ph is not as much of my concern as heat is. A friend set his up a few months back and even with stock lighting it was at a warm 81 degrees. also approximate date of complete setup (not including cycling) is April 1st.Thats when everything will be completely done and running. So pics will flood in that night and the following lifetime of the tank.

still have a few things that could swing me back to a regular 10g though. Just basically more research and pricing. Estimated setup date remains the same.

just found a 29g SunPod system with 150w HQI 14k MH lighting system with stand for 475$.....sound like a deal?

has a blasto and some zoas, nothin crazy special but its been up and running since sept 08, and I know the person so its legit about the cycling.

lol that means if I get it, it will be setup february 1st! not april, so that will be awesome, just hope it can handle the move to my house, and then another move in a month or two, to my fiance's apartment
