Re: Updating....

Nice, see I was considering turning a HOB into a fuge too since the inside compartment was so small. Also can I take out the actinics and replace them with the regular 10,000k CF's? so instead of 48w 10,000k CF's and 48w actinics I could have 96w 10,000k CF's

Re: Updating....

well the bulbs are 13" long, and there is about an inch left on each side,so I would say 15" wide and about 13" deep?

Re: Updating....

sounds about right, well I asked about switching out the actinics and replacing them with more CF's and the guy said he sees no problem with that as they run on the same internal ballast. But I am skeptical.I want to see them put in and running before I believe it.

Re: Updating....

I would actually recommend going with a normal skimmer... most nano's i have seen go IN the tank and have no option for being external. SOOO in a tank the size of 14 gallons that is alot of space.... BIO CUBE does make a skimmer for their tanks, how ever i have looked at them several times and the way they work is they use a wooden bubble stone...

don't use the fission nano tho... they flood your tank with bubbles and the water level in them fluctuate WILDLY
