a bump for the tile questions but what do you call the bag your fish and corals go into? i need to get some? i looked fish bags but didn't find anything. i'll try clear plastic fish bags

yes, a standard ceramic tile would be fine... even ones that are glazed will work... they wont break down in salt water or leach anything into your tank. try to get unglazed tiles and make sure there is no glue pods stuck to them. Home Depot sells a sheet of squares for $2, which each square gives you 36 small tiles.
