| Achilles Tang | First post look back has anyone ever gone back and looked at the first post they did here? I have been looking through the meet and grret forum and finding some OLD posts. To think about it is baffling, and inspiring. Some people started out with no clue what the were doing. but they took there time and continued to learn and now they have awesome tanks and are answering more questions than they are asking. I found mine. Had to take another look at myself on that on, cant believe I was going to put a yellow tang in a 55, guess that I know where my head was then. But it did make me think a bit more about where I am no, in the hobby. When I got into this I was so excited to get the "instant" reef. You know the one where you set up your tank and a week later you go out spend a years salery and throw in a whole bunch of corals and fish and whallla instant reef. That was the track the lfs I was using at the time had me on. Good thing I found this place. I was on the: instant reef=wild crash trip. The lfs just leaves the wild crash part out. It was just amazing, even with all the problems I have had, and caused, that I have gotten so far. I know a LOT more now then when I started, I have a tank that does not look like much but I am proud of it, and now have a 6 gallon for my 5 year old. I am always questioning things but a couple things I will not question are the advise from the people here and that if it had not been for RS I would have crashed my 55 and given up on salt by now. I had no idea how far I had come in just a few months until I looked back at my first post. Kinda fun to see where I started, Shaun ![]()
