| Star Polyps | Eco Aqualizer ???? Has anyone ever heard of or used the much advertised ECO AQUILIZER? I need to replace my skimmer and ran across this and need the input of the Sages of of Sea. If the result is that I should not use this what recommendation could you make for a 75 gal tank? I an short on space and most of what I had looked at had a foot print larger than I could handle which is 7" x 4". Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. I received 3 suncoral all were beautiful upon delivery, all are failing after one week. Thanks, Bubba |

| Bryozoan | Re: Eco Aqualizer ???? Its pretty much a worthless product. Google it. You should find lots of info stating the same. Get a MSX or Reef Octopus Extreme skimmer and you will be very happy.

| Scopas Tang | Re: Eco Aqualizer ???? Being that its simply a tube lined with magnets and is promoted as being "space age technology" while relying upon our ignorance of magnetic fields, I would say that it has no scientific merit and falls into the same catagory as magnet bracelets and mood rings. | Do I look as lost as I am ![]() | Re: Eco Aqualizer ???? It's total junk wrapped with creative BS. Heck you can do a search here on RS and learn all you need to know about this junk. If you're looking for a skimmer I highly suggest an ASM skimmer. It couldn't be more Plug-n-Play and works like a charm from the get go ![]() Good luck and Happy Reefing ![]()
__________________ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Live Rock Rubble will do the SAME thing as Bio-Balls and is NOT a suitable replacement for BIO-BALLS in a Reef System! It's ALL gotta go!! Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change. Allen's home-made formula...currentNO3-((%WC*.01)currentNO3)=finalNO3 (thanks Luukosian) This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%. Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!!
