| Torch coral | 120 gallon I just found a guy trying to get rid of a 120 gallon tank that is to big for his house. I was wondering if I could for a short time use my 48" T5 HO centered over the tank to light it?? I know the sides will not be very bright but could I center all the corals?? The 120 is 72" so that would leave 12" on each side of the light.

| Tridacna maxima | Re: 120 gallon I am just taking a shot in the dark here but I would assume you could do that. It would just depend on the height of the light above the tank and the placement of the corals along with the type of corals. I would wait a little bit for someone with a little more experience to chime in but I dont really see why not? I would still get the tank, and if not just wait til you can buy a new light.

| Golden Moray | Re: 120 gallon i'm doing that right now until i build the pc/t-5 set up. i just centered it and all the corals are under the light. it was bad because my overflow is on one side(14"w) and the other side is empty, just swimming space for the fish. btw i'll be in town tomorrow morning
