| Cabbage Leather | Aquamend equivelant? The local Homedepot doesn't sell aquamend brand epoxy. they do have a waterproof 2 part epoxy putty that says it's safe for potable water lines. It's called PC Plumbing epoxy putty by pc-products (pcepoxy.com). The msds appears to be pretty much identical to aquamend. Does anyone have any experience with this product? I know I can order the "for sure reef safe" stuff, but I'm curious if this is exactly the same stuff. TIA, Matt |

| Do I look as lost as I am ![]() | Re: Aquamend equivelant? Sorry I missed this post. That's exactly what I have used since day one. There are actually a few posts here on RS (some by me) about this very thing. Do a search on here and you should find it. You did good ![]()
__________________ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Live Rock Rubble will do the SAME thing as Bio-Balls and is NOT a suitable replacement for BIO-BALLS in a Reef System! It's ALL gotta go!! Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change. Allen's home-made formula...currentNO3-((%WC*.01)currentNO3)=finalNO3 (thanks Luukosian) This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%. Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!! | Cabbage Leather | Re: Aquamend equivelant? I tried searching, but didn't get any hits. oh well. Thanks for the verification. It was my first time trying to attach corals...there was lots of cussing and such. I have more epoxy than coral in most cases ![]() |
