What Coral or fish do you wish you never bought?

I was just curious what coral or fish other people don't like.

For me, it's anthelia. It grows over everything like a weed.

I've liked all of the fish that I've purchased.

I hate that stuff too! Im still battling with it on my favorite zooanthid rock.

The only fish that i have ever had that i hated was a yellow tailed damsel fish. He was the meanest,ill-manered creature that i ever put in to a tank. Almost had to tear down the whole reef to remove the sucker.

i would have to say a domino damsel that i had before the in wall move of the tank and a grey damsel also, mean little suckers lol. as far as corals go i would say my old flower pot it was awesome for a while but i learned to late that it was a bad choice to buy because it would not last long term. the only other coral which i still have that i would'nt buy again is a chili coral, the only time mine polyps out is when lights are out. perfect example of not reshearching it first.shame on me lol.

A Flower Pot Coral. I knew better and the beauty of them over took me and I purchased one and it perished after about 5 months.

Fish: Damsels period.

Two Engineer Gobies, they were cute, until they grew over 7" long lol, after eating my fire shrimp, I've tried to remove them but they are too shy!

Well, I didn't atually buy them, but the Green Star Polyps that I got from a couple of reef club frag swaps are trying to take over my entire tank...talk about weeds...parts of my tank are starting to look like a spring wheat field, blowing gently in the breeze.

great thread Curt

for me i really dont have a a coral/fish that wish i hadnt bought, i like my xenia's and the gs polyps, but that is me, weeds or not, lol, i try to keep mine controled, not easy, but, can be done

now, inverts, i wish i hadnt bought the rose anemone, because of what happened to the tank, but it has sence fully recovered, and looks great, @^@% anemone

im really begining to like the green star, i was going to get rid of it , again, but im having second thoughts about that, my mom got to feed it while i was on vacation, she hasnt stopped talking about that, lol

Jay green brittle stars are awesome and just need to be target fed and they are fine in a reef tank although alot of people disagree. Depends on what experience you have had with one I guessl.

I can't say I didn't like a fish that I bought, however I didn't like myself for buying a yellow tang before I had enough LR for it to graze on.

Corals- I like my GSP's, only cause they are contained on a small rock in the middle of my sand. I don't like my yellow toadstool leather tho, it makes my tank smell like low tide all the time, and it is rotting away, from I think, being stung continuously by my torch coral, which I love, and it has never opened fully since I got it, no swaying polyps, just little bumps.

Inverts-CRABS!!!

I kinda wish that we hadn't bought the Dusky jawfish. I like him and all but, he sure does make a mess out of the sand bed.
