Disaster Has Struck!

Hi All!

Just wanted to let you know for those who have followed my new cube tank set up that when my son and I lifted up the cube tank to put on the stand I noticed a bad crack in the upper right hand corner in the back and a chip in the corner on the lower right hand corner of the tank. It is not repairable. Looks like it got dropped on that side in the back. I had not seen it in the box.

So for now there will be no tank going up for awhile until I can get the money together for another one. Man it sure looks beautiful with the custom stand under it and the custom canopy on top. Will try to get a pic tomorrow but for now just don't have the heart to want to do it.

Hey worst things happen in life so thankful for my wife and kids and just being here.

Well thanks for reading just hope I didn't let people down who helped me so much in getting this set up together. God bless, Johnny

johnny man im am upset buddy and witt what the hell kind of reply is that?humor only goes so far and you hit the limit. think about it, what a reply. i have lost all my respect i ever had for you. this man has waited so long to get this tank going and your smart ass responce has really pissed me off. i worked really hard on this project and invested alot of money also and i feel so bad for johnny it hurts me inside. curt and myself had a discussion the other day about my attitude on the other site that i dont even need to name and i told him i think i have grown up alot here on rs and i told him if i did'nt have anything good to say to a post i did'nt respond, maybe you should think about that a little. if i have upset anyone with this reply i truely appoligize to you but this hits me hard. and i know it does johnny too. ok now i'm off my soap box. witt if you have anything to say to me about this you bring it on your a moderater, man whats next?

Awe man sorry to here the news.
I like Wit's idea. Here is a very cool lizard I have been considering
Benti Uromastyx
With the head of a tortoise and the tail of a dinosaur a very cool lizard that stays small.

Other pics...
http://home.hetnet.nl/~fonssleijpen/.../bentifoto.htm

And care info...
http://www.kingsnake.com/uromastyx/c...ets/BENTS2.htm

Then again you could try to sell the tank to a local reptile person.
I'm sure the reef will come along soon enough.
Keep up the good outlook
S

Ouch posting at the same time their wood.
But if it was me that is what I would do and maybe Wit was thinking the same.
If the tank can't be used as a sump what else could you do with it???
I understand you invested a lot of time and love in this project but I think you are a little off base here.

Dave man seriously settle down. We all feel for Johnny and anyone else who has helped in his dream becoming a reality but really i think taht was way over the top there. Look i defended you the other day from coping it. but seriously what else is he going to do with the tank? You think of a better idea then bag Witt out. I still have great respect for you Dave but come on. We all go through dissapointment. Its the great people amoung us who can always keep walking and not take it out on someone else. Just a thought. Just Chill

Whoa.. Now just hold on a second here, EVERYONE!

I may be new, and I may be a bit green, but everyone needs to chill. I can see where Dave is a bit stoked by this disappointment.. and I can also see where you others get upset by his problem with Witt. But it is just that, THEIR problem, not YOURS. Don't go jumping to a side and making it worse.

I agree that Witt's comment wasn't the best thing to say under the circumstances. But, as I didn't have the emotional and time investment that Dave and Johnny had in this, I just passed it off with slight irritation.

Before and of you go jumping all over Dave, seriously think about what he had invested in this effort with Johnny and what you all DIDN'T!

Think about that before you all jump into the fray.

Sorry if I upset anyone with MY opinion on this. Take it as you will.

sharks &tosh you have no idea what has gone into this project from johnny and my self. yea it's not the end of the world but this was johnny's dream tank and i put my heart and soul into building his stand and canopy and i did it for free, other then the material that johnny sent me money for. come on where's the compasion guys? what witt replied was out of line in my eyes and i have nothing more to say on the matter. if anyone wants to bash me bring it on i can handle it and feel im right on the subject. i think i'm right on track on my feelings on this matter. i'm done talking about it and if witt wants to take this further i have a truck and will travel. done deal.
