| Pistol Shrimp | Zoanthid growth? So how do I get my Zoa's to grow? I've got 5 sets and haven't seen any growth from them. My AOG I got like 5 months ago with 4 polyps still has only 4 polyps. I've got good color on everything including my SPS just no growth from the zoa's.

| Golden Moray | Re: Zoanthid growth? My zoas took off when I increased flow. The more they got pounded the more they grew. That being said I have a paly that has gone from 2 polyps to 5 in the same time I've had other zoos go from 5 to 50. Sometimes it depends on the polyps themselves.

| Do I look as lost as I am ![]() | Re: Zoanthid growth? Sometimes we can't really predict what/why they don't grow. I've had some not grow for months then all of a sudden they start growing like CRAZY!!!

It's ALL gotta go!! Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change. Allen's home-made formula...currentNO3-((%WC*.01)currentNO3)=finalNO3 (thanks Luukosian) This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%. Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!! | Reef Lobster | Re: Zoanthid growth? They need to settle in and be left alone. Some zoas grow painfully slow and others grow like weeds. Stop watching the toaster! ![]()
