Does anybody know???

Does anybody knows why my snails are all going towards the surface. I noticed that i have small baby snails on the back panel, are they reproducing near the surface? Some are alone

some are in lumps of 2 or 3.

What do you think.

Many snails will do that. It's normal in fact you'll see some OUT of the water at times.

Normal. Sometimes mating. Many snail species are tidal to some degree. They like to be near the water line. You will see that in the wild......on rocks, cliffs and such.

I had one blocking the siphon hole on my return yesterday. There is almost always at least one or two near the top. Usually my limpets or turbos. The nassarius seem to fall before they get to the top.

I notice on my tank that at the top of the glass where I cant or sometimes dont get it as clean the snails will feed up there... If there is algae forming that is what they are going for...

almost all my smaller snails sleep out of the water. If you look at them you'll usually see they are actually wet around the snail. Sometimes the sleep in huge clusters with snail on top of snail. My snails also eat the algae on the under the rim of my tank too where I can't clean with my magnet.
