does anyplace just sell starters, without live rock.. okc's lfs don't and i really don't need or want anymore liverock. not to mention paying for the overnight shipping
i thought if i could get (starters) and have then shipped priority it would be more economical. but i can't seem to find any

Re: coraline

Time and good parameters.
If you have local reefer you can get some scrapings but you really don't need it.
What area are you in? Perhaps somebody is near.

A reef tank is like a race car. The faster you go the harder you crash.

Re: coraline

I don't think I have ever seen orange. That would be pretty cool. My tank is solid purple. I'll see if I have a small rock. If I do, pay for shipping and I'll send it. I'll be doing a water change in a bit so I'll look then.

Re: coraline

I assume by time you mean months to get it to grow?

Re: coraline

Yes months, It really depends on the tank parameters. If you keep the paramaters good it will come. Then you will wish it would go away. I have corraline on everything. hmm I could put a piece of eggcrate in the tank for a week or two and wait for it to get covered. That would be a lot lighter to ship.
So far I found little tiny rocks and softball sized rocks. I'll look in the other tanks and the fuge and see what I can come up with.
