a little disappointed in my day...

So as some of you know i am had been planning on getting my Biocube 29 tank underway this weekend... I had it all planned out.. I left work early friday so i could get to the LFS to pick up the Biocube 29 and stand, my LR, Sand, Skimmer, and a few other things... I was going to spend some time after dinner with the GF to Build the stand, set up the tank, do a little scapping and pretty much just sit back and watch it develop..

well.. nothing went as planned except for dinner with the GF. when i got to the LFS the 5 Biocube 29's they had all week were sold.. They only had the BC8 in stock. So needless to say, i was a little disappointed...

Since i left work early i had some time to chat with the general manager and store owner about different things including marketing, internet commerce, and shipping livestock (they currently don't ship life stock). I turned them on to the nanocustoms site and the different modifications they do.. we even talked about this forum and getting them to sponsor the site. They're said they would stop by and check out the forum and see what it was all about... all in all i thought it was a good conversation.

After chatting for a while i got back to talking to them about the BC 29 and what i wanted to put in it and what not... before i left i told them to order me the BC29 set up so i could have it to set up during the week....The manger came to me and said I have your order set up in the computer all you have to do is stop at the register on the way out and pay for it. when i asked him how much it was he said... i knocked it down to $375 plus tax for the set and it will be here on tuesday! That's $50 less than the cheapest price i had been able to find locally or online. Really nice guys over there...

so while i was disappointed in my friday... i guess it was worth the wait!

so Tuesday i will pick up the tank, stand, LR, Sand, Water and get it all going! I cant wait!

Slow down, rinse the substrate really good put in tank, add good water, salt mix, RO/DI, let dust settle, or run filter/Skimmer, rock scape with good lighting, wait and look and see if you like it. Bring to temp, test water params, PH, temp and SG, then and only then add a fish or 2, no Damsels unless you want them, Devil fish, and hard to catch. Then after a month or 2 add stuff more fish, CUC and then Corals if params permit.

lol... i can't get much slower. I don't have the tank yet....

when i pick it up on tuesday i will be adding the LR, sand, water and let the bad boy run. I'll most likely install the skimmer or just toss it under the cabinet until down the road.

I know about the params.. been waiting out the cycle in the GF's tank for a few weeks already.

I just want to get the BC29 up and running!
