| Scopas Tang ![]() | Re: Mega-Powerful Nitrate and Phosphate Remover Replaces Skimmer, Refugium, Everythin I think this soon that it's brown diatoms. Would be great to be wrong though Run your fingers over it and see if it feels prickly or like astroturf. Pics would be nice, as well as measurements. |

| Scopas Tang ![]() | Re: Mega-Powerful Nitrate and Phosphate Remover Replaces Skimmer, Refugium, Everythin Yes diatoms. But still great! That's all N and P from your water. Can you turn up your flow? The amount of water I see coming off the bottom of the screen needs to be more. |

| Scopas Tang ![]() | Re: Mega-Powerful Nitrate and Phosphate Remover Replaces Skimmer, Refugium, Everythin I think I know who he is and why he's doing this. I'll say something if he does it again, but he likes to take any reply at all and jump on it. Varga as far as I know vodka has nothing directly to do with algae. Indirectly, the vodka would reduce N and P (which is the purpose), and that would cause less growth on the screen. Of course, the vodka also causes lots of bacteria and slime too, which I never liked. And it does not take up metals, or ammonia, as far as I know. |

| Manta Ray | Re: Mega-Powerful Nitrate and Phosphate Remover Replaces Skimmer, Refugium, Everythin Day 9. I noticed areas where the screen is wavy, have more growth. So I moved it around and added more waves. Now we have really broken water. oh yeah, there was a snail in my mag2.5's intake working much better now.this thing is a great chiller!! forgot to turn the fan off last night, woke up to a 73 degree tank! |
