Anybody Seen This 7300lb Stingray?

I heard about it on the radio.

id died after the battle bringing it in, which sucks. but i do want to seee it.

but havent found it yet...

how 'bout c'hall?

BUT THATS IS STILL FREGGIN HUGE!!!

seems like a manta ray to me...

dont know how big 3300lbs is for a manta.

I clicked the link before I read your post, and my first thought when I looked at the picture was "Manta Ray." That blows that they killed it, but I believe they are usually pretty damn big.

Thats really sad, why do they always do this over in all these other countries, is it because they are not educated or what? Totally a Manta Ray.

It's possible it became entangled in the casting net and they couldn't get it out in time to save it. Or they had a GOOD idea of it's "net value" (pun intended) and wanted to profit from it's loss. You also have to keep in mind that these people do this for a living. They are more interested in putting food on the table today rather than ensuring a source for food for future generations.

Easy there buddy. Hold them horses.

The "Front Page" is something that's very special... we have to be mindful of what's there because it's the first thing new comers see when they visit. For that reason it gets "more security" and "Scrutiny" than just random threads get. You want your "Front Door" to leave a POSITIVE and INVITING impression to the world. Remember we only get ONE chance to make that first impression.

Hope that explains some. It's not about power or trying to control everything thing it's about appearance and being mindful of what's showing where.

Nobody even said this story is inappropriate.
This would be a perfect example of something to send to Frankie as an idea. It is interresting information.
If we leave it open for anybody to start a thread there then anything could show up there. Potentially even spam. We certainly don't want that on the opening page. This was not intended to be critical of Bob's post. It was the first time we knew people could do it.

My apology to Bob and Daniel. As Lynn pointed out this has nothing to do with Bob or Bob's thread in itself. It was an "over sight" on a security setting in the forum. Bob merely brought it to light which allowed the Admins to correct it. Bob's thread is a GREAT one and he merely posted GOOD information. Sometimes I am terrible at getting the information from my head to the keyboard... inside my head it all made sense what I was trying to say...

I'm not a manta expert but 3300lbs seems big for almost anything except elephants and whales. Maybe a few others.
