Re: hey

Hmm, i think the BC8 would be a little small for an anemone, and there isnt enough lighting for it. I have the BC29.

Maybe a small goby and a small clown for fish?

Re: hey

Hello and welcome!

take some time to learn ALL you can about reefing before you add one drop of water. The more "knowledged" you are to begin with the better off you, your tank and your WALLET will be in the long run.

It's WELL worth the efforts

Re: hey

Welcome to RS!
Tank is not big enough for an anemone or many fish. The sexy shrimp are a great idea and I would go with a couple of clown gobies. They stay nice and small and come in great colors.

Welcome to RS!
Turbo's poop a lot and will just contribute to the algae issue. You need to find the source of the problem. Let's start off with your top off water. What are you using? And how often do you do water changes, what salt? Could you post your latest test results?

Re: hey

Post your test results.
Reduce feedings.
Increase water changes and your algae will go away.
If you do get turbos remember they get very very big and knock things over. Also if they fall upside down they cannot turn themselves over. Every day I do at least one snail rescue.

Re: hey

no matter what is in the tank, 8g is hard to maintain levels at a constant. go slow young padawan....or i see deaths in your future~

i say this as my best advice to a beginner. do not,,,and i repeat,,,,,DO NOT look at my tank as an example....i have a well practised eye, decades of experience, and a trunkload of failures to allow me to force the issue and get away with things most cannot~
