Salt mix PH

I was just wondering if anyone has expirienced problems with reef crystals or IO salt mix. I cannot get my salt mix ph over 8 using reef crystals.

how are you getting this reading. how long has the salt mixed was it airated during mixing? was it mixed in a sealed container with a powerhead, was it mixed by hand? did you test in your display after a water change?

i use an american marine ph monitor.. it is calibrated correctly. was hoping that was going to be the problem...mix for about four days in an open container using an air stone and a powerhead. my monitor actually says its about 7.80 but i have found it to always read about .1 low.. i usually cross reference everything with a liquid test
