| Sea Pen | Re: got my lights when to run Most folks run the actinics longer than the daylights to simulate dawn/dusk by having them on an hour or so before or after the daylights. I don't have actinics at the moment (14k MH), but when I did, I think I had the actinics on for 10 to 12 hours or so, and the daylights on for 8 to 10 hours. I'm seriously considering running my lighting on a seasonal schedule based on the Tropic of Cancer (not the book). It will be painful, but a fun experiment.

| 8 left feet... | Re: got my lights when to run I do 12 hours on the actinic and ~ 10 hours on the daylight bulbs. LEDs run at night with the Fuge lights. Fuge lights running opposite tank lights is helpful if you have Chaeto or some other algae growing in there - it helps to maintain steady pH throughout the night. DAHansen, that is one of the features I really like on the ACjr, it has the seasonal schedule programmed in to it.

| Sea Pen | Re: got my lights when to run That is why it's on my list - unless I decide to build my own (because I'm crazy and I like projects), OR I buy a macro lens (I have photo envy).
