Thumbs down nuked tank kill count

well story is my frogspawn died while i was on vacation... i believe it was due to alot of over feeding from my sitter... i noticed the tank was cloudy when i woke up the next day and pulled the frogspawn immediately... over the next few days the tank crashed...my regal tang and tomato clown also came down with ich... i did prolly 15 gallons worth of water changes from my lfs reef tank... and after 3 days of stress everything seems to be back on track... ich has been treated... i worked my ass off to save my fish but i lost a few other animals...

KIA:
2 blue legged hermits
1 scarlet hermit
1 snail

MIA:
peppermint shrimp

survivors getting purple heart:
watchman goby
tomato clown
baby regal tang
pistol shrimp
turbo snail
and my zoas are slowly coming back

Quick Cure in a QT I hope.
Off of the top of my head, doesn't that have a trace of formalin?

Re: nuked tank kill count

Here is a link to some info for ya.

Use of Formalin to Control Fish Parasites.

That stuff is generally used as a dip or soak lasting up to one hour as long as the fish do not exhibit signs of stress. Whole tank treatments can be hazerdous. You will need to increase the oxygen levels in the tank and run lot's of carbon to pull out the chemicals.

Re: nuked tank kill count

I also thought Quick Cure was for FW fish. I do not know its effectiveness on marine fish. The reason I ask is because if you put it in the display I would be afraid for your invertebrates.

I'm just sayin....
