| Harlequin Tuskfish | Over the past couple days i have noticed that my ocellaris clownfish has been hosting my torch coral. My torch is in the process of dividing and gets really large durring the day. But since i noticed this hosting going on i have also noticed black spots on my clown. there are only 2 maybe 3 spots that i have noticed that are about the size of a bb probally smaller. They look like they are part of the skin and i have read that frogspawns and torches alike can sting the clowns. Should i be terribly worried? Ollie still eats like a pig and is very social. no heavy breathing or anything the only thing is i see her rub on the sand every once and a while which im attributing to the irritation of the sting. and the torch is the best i have ever seen it. can someone shed light on this whether im right or what i need to do. Thanks, MArk

| Golden Moray ![]() | Re: clownfish getting stung The spots are not stings. It is a natural thing that tends to happen in absence of an anemone. I have had clowns that host in everything but an anemone and get the spots and ones that host in it dont get the spots. If you were to add an anemone and they took up residence in it the spots go away. The ways of nature! Matt |
