fuge lights???

how many watts should i have over the fuge???? please help need to go get new light today.

I think Mine is usually around 3 watts per gallon of 10k bulbs. I always have good growth..

Personally I like a small T5 Setup less power consumption for the punch

I never really put a "watt per gallon" on my Fuge light. I've been lucky with everything from an old "PC Fixture" from a former fresh water tank to a Curly que light in a housing. If you go with T5's try to stay in the lower K rating.... 6500k gives great growth but fortunately Chaeto is fairly easy to grow as long as water params are in check.

I have a DIY fuge light. It is small and takes up very little space, replacement bulbs are inexpensive, and it produces a LOT of light

I've had a 23W 6500k bulb from Lowe's on my fuge with perfect results, even have some softies under it.

Lighting = 6x250 watts MH, 2x96 watt PC ,and 2x140 watt VHO for a total watt of 1,972 watts . New addition on 4-14-07 of 100 gallon sump and 100 gallon refugium. I think I have lost my mind.
