| Smile Maker | Re: missing fish Anything is possible. I have two very large Serpents and I have not know them to hunt for living fish. In fact one lives in the same burrow with my Blue Spotted jawfish. They are usually attracted to dead or dying organisms IME. Perhaps your fish died and the Serpent cleaned it up. ![]() |

| Do I look as lost as I am ![]() | Re: missing fish I wouldn't put it past the starfish. Sorry to hear that. They tend to go for sickly animals but maybe if hungry enough it might take a resting fish. Hard to tell and the only guarantee about Mother Nature is.. There are NO guarantees!! ![]()
__________________ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Live Rock Rubble will do the SAME thing as Bio-Balls and is NOT a suitable replacement for BIO-BALLS in a Reef System! It's ALL gotta go!! Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change. Allen's home-made formula...currentNO3-((%WC*.01)currentNO3)=finalNO3 (thanks Luukosian) This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%. Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!!
